I appreciate seeing the peoples hand in the world and especially in an art piece. As digital imaging fundamentally altered the photographic process it is sometimes impossible to separate the artists influence from the computers impact. In mashing the art of photography and drawing techniques I aim to create images that are unique and inimitable for all time.
My work process begins with choosing a photograph that has a certain affinity to drawing that will be further developed in an underexposed way. I than utilize any spike piece of metal that comes in handy to scratch a new dimension into the photographic paper.

 

EINZELSTÜCK 

 

Ich mag es, die menschliche Hand in der Welt zu sehen, und dies besonders in einem Kunstwerk. Da die digital Bildbearbeitung den fotografischen Prozess fundamental verändert, ist es manchmal unmöglich, den Einfluss des Künstlers von dem des Computers zu unterscheiden. In dem ich die Fotografie mit Techniken des Zeichnens verbinde, versuche ich, Bilder zu erschaffen, die einmalig und für alle Zeit unnachahmlich sind. 
Mein Arbeitsprozess beginnt, in dem ich ein Foto auswähle, welches eine gewisse Affinität zum Zeichnen aufweist und im nachfolgenden Schritt unterbelichtet entwickelt wird. Dann nutze ich jegliche Art von spitzem Metall, die geeignet erscheint, um eine neue Dimension in das Fotopapier hineinzukratzen.
