In Another Place

IN ANOTHER PLACE

Before the street grids, urban planning and landfills, before the concrete, brick or asphalt, before the fountains, parks and gardens, before the honking, crackle and rumble there was wilderness. The modern metropolises now densely filled with people and infrastructure were once remarkable diverse prodigious landscapes of old growth forests, valleys, hills, fields, springs, ponds and rivers. 

In Another Place is a series of photographs, all taken with a 4x5 inch view camera, that reveals unexpected scenes of seclusion, intimate vistas of silent woods, meandering streams and depicts the vastness, pureness and the mystical that still remains adjacent to the bustle of the mega-cities.

 

AN EINEM ANDEREN ORT

Vor den Strassenrastern, der Stadtplanung und den Mülldeponien, vor dem Beton, den Backsteinen oder Asphalt, vor den Springbrunnen, den Parks und Gärten, vor dem Hupen, Knarren und Rattern gab es die Wildniss. Die moderen Metropolen, nun eng gefüllt mit Menschen und Infrastruktur waren einst außergewöhnlich diverse wunderbare Landschaften von alten Baumbeständen, Tälern, Hügeln, Feldern, Quellen, Seen und Flüssen.

In Another Place enthüllt als eine Serie von Fotografien, die alle mit einer 4x5 inch Kamera aufgenommen wurden, unerwartete Szenerien von Abgeschiedenheit, intime Perspektiven von stillen Wäldern, meanderen Strömen und zeigt die Weite, Reinheit und das Mystische, was noch immer neben der Hektik der Mega-Städte existiert.
